Fresh psychedelics from Istanbul! Lalalar simply offers you a future-nostalgia through some retro-cinematic bass lines, electro-dirty beats, rebroken vocals, self-flirting guitars and kindly digged out samples from the legacies of Anatolia. After countless singles the debut album “Bi Cinnete Bakar” released May 2022. They couldn’t take their feet off the gas until the second album “En Kötü İyi Olur” in 2023. Lalalar keeps channeling the restless momentum of a world haunted by the political and sociological demons - where sarcasm becomes the rhythm of freedom.
Their new single “Tabancamın Sapuni” reimagines a traditional folk song from the Black Sea region through a bold fusion of industrial rave and punk aesthetics. The track kicks off in a 7/8 Black Sea groove and ends in a pounding 4/4 Berlin rave — a journey from the mountains to the dance floor. Within the band’s signature dark, glitchy, and hypnotic sonic universe, echoes of tulum melodies crash into walls of distortion, while local rhythms merge with the pulse of Berlin’s underground.
