“La Muralla” is synonymous with salsa—a genre that fuses Puerto Rican and Cuban sounds. Known for its dynamic vocals by Johnnie Vega (2024 Rochester Music Hall of Fame’s first Latino Inductee), Luca Santana, Hector Arguinzoni, and new female member Eileen Monserrate Garcia, the group has built its legacy on vibrant horn sections, tight percussion, and the rich interplay of piano and bass. A key to their enduring success has been their openness to new ideas and commitment to nurturing young talent. Though some once believed “La Muralla” had passed its prime, their reunion has proven otherwise—showcasing their ability to not only retain a loyal fan base but also captivate a new generation of salsa enthusiasts.Geneva Lakefront Concert Series is held outside at the pavilion along Seneca Lake next to the Finger Lakes Welcome Center.
