Warm weather will be retuning for our Whitney Canyons paddle this year. Again, we took over the cul-d-sac of campsites 133, 134, 135, and 136. This event is kayak and SUP friendly. Limited to 60 paddlers. We do not launch from the state park, we drive over to Walling Bend Park and launch from the north ramp. This is an 8-ish mile paddle over open lake water. We’ll paddle two miles up to Long Branch cove and work our way back, touring the limestone bluffs and canyons. If we’re lucky and get rain the week prior, there is a good chance that we’ll have a waterfall at the end of each canyon, as we did last year. Such a beautiful trip!
