You are invited to join Central Florida Recon (CFR) as we partner with the Lake Formosa Neighborhood Association to show some love to Lake Formosa during Earth Month. We will focus our efforts on Lake Formosa and as long as there are no water quality alerts, we will be on the lake and also on land picking up trash.You do not have to own your own vessel to join us, there is plenty of green space around the lake to walk with a trash grabber and bucket. We will have six kayaks to share on a first to arrive, first to launch basis.
You will be asked to sign a Cleanup Event Sign in and Indemnity Waiver upon arrival.
The event is scheduled for two hours. We capture our group photo at the beginning of the event with the CFR banner. At the end we will combine all of our trash and weigh it.
If rain or heavy wind is in the forecast for the day of the cleanup, please check on Friday night for event updates.
Wear sturdy shoes, and bring a hat 👒 sunglasses 🕶 sunscreen, water to keep hydrated and a friend. See you at the lake 💦
