About this Event
The Lake Erie Beacons are Cleveland's proud hometown team as part of the National Squash League. The Beacons are the only franchise with both a men's and women's roster. The National Squash League (NSL) format is a time based team concept with a running clock and includes fan engaging features like substitutions and powerplays!
You'll love the intensity and energy of NSL so don't miss out as the weekend of May 15 - 16 provides an incredible opportunity to get behind the city's newest professional sports team.
This pass gains you general admission to Friday and Saturday evenings as follows:
Friday, May 15 at 6 pm - Lake Erie Beacons Women vs. SONO Sharks (doors open at 5:15 pm)
Saturday, May 16 at 5 pm - Lake Erie Beacons vs. Newport Dragons (doors open at 4:15 pm)
Both matches will take place on the glass court at Urban Squash Cleveland (4701 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44102).
You'll receive two complimentary drinks (beer and wine) for both evenings.
Free parking will be available in the MetroHealth Center parking lot located just beyond Urban Squash Cleveland on West 47th Street.
The 2026 Beacons' women are represented by an incredible lineup of global stars:
- Gina Kennedy (England) - highest world ranking of #5 and Harvard graduate
- Lucy Beecroft (England) - highest world ranking of #20 and Yale graduate
- Hollie Naughton (Canada) - highest world ranking of #16 and Commonwealth Games finalist
- Alina Bushma (Ukraine) - Ukranian #1, Drexel grad and recently achieved her career high ranking of #52
- Amina El Rihany (Egypt) - rising star who just broke into the world's top 50
- Kiera Marshall (England) - another improving young player who is now inside the top 75 in the world rankings
They will be up against formidable opponents in the SONO Sharks. The Sharks lineup is set to include Egypt's Salma Hany (world #13) and American Marina Stefanoni who had an outstanding collegiate career at Harvard.
The 2026 Beacons' men also have a stacked lineup:
- Victor Crouin (France) - highest world ranking of #7 and Harvard graduate
- Bernat Jaume (Spain) - highest world ranking of #29 and 2024 Squash in the Land Finalist
- Yannick Wilhelmi (Switzerland) - highest world ranking of #34 and recent Czech Open Champion
- Nick Spizzirri (USA) - Penn graduate and 2024 and 2025 National College Team Champion. Recently broke into top 100
- David Baillargeon (Canada) - highest world ranking of #39 and on the comeback from an injury layoff
- Ben Smith (England) - highest world ranking of #68
Their opponents, the Newport Dragons, are led by one of the NSL's founders in the form of Timmy Brownell. Timmy is a Harvard graduate and the current US men's #1. He's joined by Matias Knudsen, a former Drexel standout and reknown trickshot specialist.
