Watch as he parachutes into a starring role in a slavery-themed action movie on a film set in Wild West Africa, all the while prepping his own four-foot kung fu remake of THEY HARDER THEY COME with fellow gonzo filmmaker, Ghanian director Samuel K. Nkansah, aka Ninja (B14, African Kung Fu Nazis).
A vibrant, inspiring and often heartbreaking postcard from cinema’s furthermost frontiers, this documentary chronicles both the history of Ninja and Ghana’s crazed DIY digital film scene (known as Kumawood), and the birth of a demented partnership between two of the world’s most maverick directors.
Leavold will introduce the film, which will be followed by an in-person Q&A, as we help him launch the Kickstarter campaign for his next cult cinema opus, THE TALLER THEY COME!
