Lady BUGS! The Fort Benning Golf Course offers a new women’s-only golf clinic! Lady BUGS (Beginners Under Guided Supervision) is for new golfers who want to learn everything there is to know about golf and how to play.Each session is taught by a PGA professional and will focus on various golf skills. Students will learn the basics of golf and will practice their newly learned skills on the golf course in a casual and friendly setting.
Lady BUGS is offered every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 5 – 6 p.m. Each session is $20 and open to female beginners 18 and older. There is a minimum of 3 participants to hold a session and a maximum of 6. Registration is required! Register at the Fort Benning Golf Course, located at 7471 Baltzell Avenue, Building 390, or by calling 706-545-0397.
Signup sheets for each clinic will be available 2 weeks prior to each date. Walk ins will be available if max. participation of 6 attendees is not reached by the date of each class.
Lady BUGS will teach you:
- Warm-up, stretching, and wellness tips!
- The "Basics" of the swing: Grip, Stance, and Set Up.
- Swing fundamentals: putting and chipping, short swing, and full swing.
- How to start your play from the correct tee marker.
- Confidence on the Golf Course while golfing next to the professionals!
- How and where to drive a golf cart.
- Golf etiquette and keeping score.
- Most importantly – how to Have FUN on the Golf Course while golfing!
