Ladies Who Lit Presents "Meet & Mingle" with the Author: Angela Flournoy

Following our August 2025 programming around Angela Flournoy's debut novel, The Turner House, join Ladies Who Lit for a mingle and meet with the author following the release of her second novel, The Wilderness! Following a brief moderated Q&A, attendees are invited to stick around for light bites and further conversation with Angela—and each other!

The event is presented by Ladies Who Lit with generous support from Mariner Books, publisher of both The Turner House and The Wilderness. Book order fulfillment by Semicolon Books, Chicago's only Black woman-founded nonprofit bookseller and gallery!

Ticketing Tiers:

• Early Access (Includes Book) – $35
  Thanks to the generous support of Angela’s publisher, Mariner Books, the first 30 guests will receive a subsidized ticket that includes event admission, a complimentary glass of wine, light bites by Cafe Yaya, and a copy of The Wilderness. This early access tier graciously celebrates LWL Members’ continued engagement with women-authored literature.
• General Admission (Includes Book) – $57
  Includes event admission, light bites by Cafe Yaya, and a copy of The Wilderness. If Early Access tickets are sold out, this tier ensures your seat and your book are reserved for the event.
• Admission Only (No Book) – $32
  Join us for the full program and discussion. This tier is for guests who already own The Wilderness or prefer to borrow a copy. Books will also be available for purchase on-site courtesy of our bookstore partner.

Fine Print (i.e. your ticket includes):

• For Early Access & General Admission (Includes Book) Ticket Holders: A copy of The Wilderness, distributed at event check-in.

Wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be available at a cash bar. Early Access ticket holders will receive a complimentary wine ticket with their books at check-in.
