This Ladies Ranch Academy Retreat is formatted for education and rejuvenation.
We will eat meals around the fire, enjoy time in the saddle working cattle or doing obstacles, and take some time to swim in the pool. Saturday is Rodeo night and your registration includes a ticket!
Please note: depending on crowd size and experience, we will split into two groups during certain riding portions.
As always, it is free to bring a camper/trailer and run a generator. You're also welcome to bring a tent, as there is a bathhouse available to overnight guests during this event. It is also free to bring portable panels to set up for your ponies! Otherwise, limited overnight accommodations are available for horses and humans--please select that during registration.
Wednesday, July 1
-Arrive anytime after noon
-Get campers hooked up/find lodging
-Enjoy free time on the ranch at the barn, in your quarters, or on your pony
-5pm-6pm-roping practice on the ground
-6:30pm-dinner around the fire; introductions
-7:30pm-(optional) line dancing in the Wagon House
Thursday, July 2
-7am-Quick Breakfast
-8:30am-be ready to ride
-Mechanical Flag
-Gather the herd
-Herd Management & in-depth Stockmanship
-11:30am-dismount
-12:30pm-lunch at the pool
-12:30-4:30pm-free time at the pool, at the pond, in your quarters, or with your pony
-4:30pm-Saddle up and warm up
-5:30pm-Boxing practice / roping the dummy
-7:00pm-unsaddle & grab dinner by the fire
Friday, July 3
-7am-Quick Breakfast
-8:30am- be ready to ride
-rope the dummy/sled
-bring in the herd
-big loop breakaway practice
-11:30am-dismount
-12:30pm-lunch at the pool
-12:30-3:30pm-free time at the pool, at the pond, in your quarters, or with your pony
-4:30pm-saddle up & hit a short trail
-7:00pm-dinner by the fire
Saturday, July 4
-7:00am-(optional) bring in the herd & number the cattle
-8:00am-quick breakfast
-9:00-10:30-be ready to ride
-cattle sorting
-12:30pm-lunch & a craft in the Wagon House (with It's Simply Simmons)
-Free afternoon
-7pm-RODEO!
-Your rodeo ticket is included with your ranch academy registration. BUT please bring cash for food, shopping & FUN! (you are responsible for dinner on rodeo night)
Sunday, July 5
-9:00am-cowgirl devotional & breakfast
-10am-checkout
This event is rain or shine. There are no refunds, no exchanges.
Payment options available, if needed - with a $200 non-refundable deposit. Full tuition, lodging & equine accommodations must be paid in full prior to the start of camp.
No processing fees if paying up front in full via Venmo or Zelle ($8+ in savings!)
