We’re thrilled to announce a few changes to this years’ event and an incredible panel discussion for our annual Ladies Lunch.
Kindly sponsored by Orsini Fine Jewellery, the Ladies Lunch is the perfect opportunity to catch up with familiar faces and make new friends while supporting the College.
This year we are moving the event to MoVida – a wonderful space known for its Spanish inspired menu and drinks list in the heart of Britomart.
Broadcaster, author and King’s parent, Stacey Morrison, will moderate an impressive guest panel on ‘Lessons to learn and teach our children in the art of personal resilience.’
Sharing personal experiences and advice on leveraging strategies and techniques on building resilience in our young people, our Lunch 2024 panel features:
Justice Jane Anderson – Judge of the High Court, Justice Anderson is a graduate of the University of Canterbury and the University of Oxford and had a successful career as a solicitor, barrister sole and lecturer before being appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2016. She took up her present appointment as Justice of the High Court in May 2023.
Jo Martin – Jo Martin is a personal branding consultant at Brand New You and has more than 15 years’ experience in PR, marketing and journalism. Jo runs personal development programs for both businesses and high school students with one of the key pillars being developing a plan for resilience.
Toni Street – A familiar face to all, Toni Street has 20 years’ experience as a broadcast journalist and broadcaster in radio, TV and podcasting. Toni has hosted morning TV, prime time current affairs shows and live sporting events. Her podcast ‘We Need to Talk’ was a finalist at the 2023 NZ Podcast awards, and her book ‘Lost & Found’ was a best seller in 2021.
All proceeds of the Ladies Lunch contribute to a wide array of projects supported by The Friends. Enjoy a plated lunch and a glass of something sparkling (water or wine!) in wonderful company and at a lovely setting.
