Due to some conflicts - we will be moving the Malibu Century to the last Saturday in April. - April 25thStarting at Leo Carrillo State Park Campground Parking lot in Malibu. Lot opens at 8am. Parking via kiosk is $12.00. We will arrange carpools to starting spot. Free Parking also available on Southbound side of Highway 1.
We meet at around 730am at the Starbucks at Trancas Center 4 miles from Leo Carrillo. Get some celebrity sightings in - Mike from Breaking Bad or Kaitlin Jenner have made recent appearances for us on ride day. Get your coffee and be at Leo gate by 8am
Arrive by 8am - Leo Carrillo Campground Lot and rolling at 8:30am Sharp. They open the gates at 8am and you now pay the ranger - they only accept credit / debit cards. There is also FREE parking onthe Southbound side of PCH.
Sunset at 730pm. 11 hours to complete the ride.
TAILLIGHTS are needed for this ride. Please charge them up and be ready.
This is a fairly flat century with a very gradual 12 mile climb to Ojai. Average grade just 1% to 3%.
We will have many regroups and stops along the way - Lunch at Boccali's Pizza & Pasta at the base of the Ojai Summit Climb - Fast or adventurous riders can do the 2 mile climb to the Ojai Outlook - then coast back to Bocali's for Lunch.
Fast ride back down the hill to Ventura for a photo opp on the pier.
