«Labyrinth II» er dynamisk, øm, kraftfull og full av groove. Med en minimal besetning er trioen – Nicole Johänntgen på saksofon og vokal, Victor Hege på sousafon og Lukas Mantel på trommer – et ekte kraftsenter.
De tre musikerne skaper musikalske spenninger mellom poesi og transeaktige landskap, fylt av ville melodier og rå rytmer. Alt i ånden av å utforske en labyrint. De beveger seg mot sentrum, og bort fra det igjen. Det er et spill fullt av følelser.
Det nye albumet er derfor helt og holdent viet kjærligheten. Når du opplever trioen live, blir du – enten du vil eller ikke – fullstendig fanget. Jazz er og forblir frihet i utøvelse. Slik møtes de tre musikerne på scenen, til tross for ulik bakgrunn, med den største respekt. Å lytte til og lære av hverandre står i sentrum for deres kunstneriske prosjekt.
De tre artistene kommer fra Tyskland, Frankrike og Sveits, og bor alle i nærheten av Zürich. Nicole Johänntgen har hittil spilt inn 32 album. Hun har mottatt en rekke priser, er en aktiv stemme i sosiale medier og ble i mai 2023 tildelt Lichtenburg-prisen.

LABYRINTH II “Labyrinth II” is dynamic, tender, powerful, and packed with groove. With a minimal lineup, the band—the three-piece band of Nicole Johänntgen on saxophone and vocals, Victor Hege on sousaphone, and Lukas Mantel on drums—is a veritable powerhouse.
The three artists create musical tensions between poetry and trance scenarios, full of wild melodies and profane rhythms. All in the spirit of exploring a labyrinth. They move towards the center, then away from it again. It's a game full of emotions.
The new album is thus entirely devoted to love. When you see the trio in concert, you are, whether you like it or not, completely captivated. Jazz is and remains freedom in performance. This is how the three musicians, despite their different backgrounds, meet on stage with the utmost respect. Listening and learning from each other are at the heart of their concerns.
The three artists come from Germany, France, and Switzerland and all live near Zurich. Nicole Johänntgen has recorded 32 albums to date. She has received numerous awards, is an influencer on social media, and was awarded the Lichtenburg Prize in May 2023.
