It’s time for the La Souper Bowl: 2026 Chili Cookoff!
From mild to wild, our staff and volunteer chefs are calling dibs on rescued produce, proteins, and spices to craft the ultimate winter comfort food. Secret recipes are coming out of retirement, bold new flavor combinations are simmering, and bragging rights are on the line.
We’d love for you to join us at the invite-only Chili Cookoff on February 4 at 4 PM and be among the first to taste this year’s chili creations during a blind sampling.
Each chef will simmer 40 gallons of chili, all made in-house using 100% rescued ingredients. The chili will then be shared with our community partners and 30 quarts sold at our retail counter in support of our mission. Entries may be meaty, vegetarian, or vegan—and yes, some may (or may not) include spaghetti.
Come hungry, soak up the fun, and help us kick off chili season in true La Soupe style. Please let us know if you’re able to join us by January 26 at noon.
