La Rumba me Llama: Honrando los Antepasados
Una celebración de música Afro-Cubana
Director and culture bearer has selected top-notch musicians and dancers to perform at this unique celebration, which will honor the legacy of the rumbero/as who have illuminated the path. Creating a tradition following last year’s successful event, the show will bring together Cubans, Caribbeans, Latinos, and people from the African Diaspora, and other communities and supporters of culture from all walks of life.
This all-ages celebration, which includes a free class for children and a concert, social and DJ, will be at in Berkeley, an important community space that is dedicated to supporting Latino-Caribbean culture and where Einar currently teaches Rumba classes.
The class and concert will occur during the last day of May and first day of June, which is Caribbean Heritage Month.

Join us for a two-day celebration, with the main concert on Sunday, June 1st, 2025.
Saturday, May 31st
- 10:00am - 11:00am: Kids Drum Class (Free)
For children ages 4-15. Children ages 4-6 must be accompanied by an adult.
Sunday, June 1st (Main Event)
- Doors open at 5:30 pm
- Show begins at 6:30 pm
- DJ performance at 8:30 pm

- Public Transit: The 18 bus line stops directly across the street (Shattuck & Woolsey), and Ashby BART is just two blocks away.
- Parking: Free street parking is available, or park at the Ashby BART station for a fee.
- Bike-Friendly: Bike racks are available outside the venue.
