LA Nature Quest: The Adventure Begins at Griffith Park

Celebrate the Launch of the 2025 LA Nature Quest (formerly the LA BioBlitz Challenge)!

Now in its fifth year, this citywide project invites Angelenos of all ages to explore their neighborhoods and photograph wild plants, animals, insects, and fungi throughout October. Each photo helps scientists track and protect Los Angeles’ incredible biodiversity.

🌿 Kickoff EventJoin us at the Griffith Park Visitor Center Hall for a day of outdoor exploration and fun! Discover local wildlife right in the heart of LA and learn how to contribute to this year’s Nature Quest using the iNaturalist app, guided by Griffith Park rangers and experts from the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.

From scenic trails to breathtaking views, this event is perfect for nature lovers of all ages. Lace up your hiking boots and don’t miss this chance to connect with the great outdoors!

🥤 RefreshmentsLight refreshments and water will be provided. Please help us reduce waste by bringing your own water bottle or tumbler.
