The Vermouth Hour is a Spanish tradition where friends and families spill into sunny plazas or gather at favorite bars to abrir el apetito, “open the appetite,” with a cold glass over ice, a snack, and unhurried conversation.
In this crafting and tasting course, you will taste 6 premium Vermouths from around the globe, sample a curated pairing of cheese and charcuterie, and assemble the iconic partner for any vermouth: the Gilda! This beloved snack is frequently paired with La Hora del Vermut for its shareability, simplicity, and balance of flavor with vermouth’s unique botanicals. Note the subtle differences in vermouths as you taste through Italy, France, and more.
We’ll finish our La Hora del Vermut with a demonstration of Vermut Preparado, a vermouth cocktail and popular aperitif to whet the appetite.
