🎶 La Folia Global
Experience a transcontinental musical journey where Baroque music meets world traditions whose roots intersect in the cultural crossroads of Renaissance Venice in Omaha’s beautiful St. Cecelia’s Cathedral.
At the center of the project is Valeri Tolstov’s brilliant reimagining of Vivaldi’s La Folia, moving seamlessly between Armenian folk music, Hindustani classical raga, and Vivaldi’s original score.
✨ Conceived at the Nebraska Crossroads Music Festival, this internationally touring project brings together master musicians from traditions including Hindustani classical music, Armenian folk music, traditional Japanese drumming, and Baroque performance practice.
The result is a vivid and surprising musical experience—deeply rooted in history and refreshingly unexpected.
