🚴♂️ RIDE TO THE OPENER: USA vs. PARAGUAY ⚽
A Community Fútbol Fans Feeder Ride from Compton to SoFi
📅 Friday, June 12, 2026 🚴 Compton/Slauson A Line Station → Inglewood Sports & Entertainment District ⚽ USA vs. Paraguay — 6:00 PM PT kickoff at SoFi Stadium 🎟️ Free to ride. Match ticket sold separately.
The World Cup is finally here. The first match of the tournament LA has waited a generation for is happening eight miles from where you live — and we're not driving to it.
We're rolling to it.
BikeLA, LA Walks, Better Bike Share Partnership, and Metro Bike Share are hosting a supporters march on wheels. No cars. No $80 surge Ubers. No three-hour parking lot crawl. Just bikes, transit, banners, drums, music, food, and the loudest soccer city in America showing up the way we deserve to show up.
This is matchday the way it should feel.
🚴 THE RIDE
We meet at Compton/Slauson A Line Station at 4 pm. We roll out as one unofoed group. The route follows safe streets along Metro corridors all the way to the Inglewood Sports & Entertainment District, where you'll roll up to SoFi like you own the block — because for one night, we do.
Don't have a bike? Metro Bike Share has you covered - we will provide free Bike Share Bikes and helmets to the first 30 RSVPs that need a bike. Want to walk part of it? LA Walks is leading a pedestrian contingent. Want to roll Metro the rest? The A Line drops you right at the action. (Only 30 Bike Share Bikes will be provided for this ride, please RSVP asap and claim your metro bike shere bike)
This ride is all ages, all paces, all levels. If you can ride to the corner store, you can ride to the World Cup. We will have experiecned bike marshals leading the ride to ensure your safety.
📣 SUPPORTERS GROUPS — THIS ONE'S FOR YOU
This is your culture, your matchday, your stadium. We want every supporters group in LA representing loud at the staging area:
🇺🇸 American Outlaws LA — the opener is yours, come claim it ⚫ The 3252 · Black Army 1850 · District 9 Ultras — community service is in your DNA, ride with us 💙 Angel City Brigade · LA Riot Squad · Galaxians · Galaxy Outlawz — bring the Carson energy north 🇲🇽 Pancho Villa's Army LA · Cielito Lindo · Sigo al Tri — you've been waiting for this World Cup as long as anyone 🇵🇾 Los Pynandi · Paraguay supporters — bienvenidos, this matchday is yours too 🏴 EPL · La Liga · Liga MX · pickup leagues · futsal crews — all flags welcome, all chants welcome
Bring your jerseys. Bring your flags. Bring your drums. Bring the people who taught you the chants. This is exactly the moment those banners were stitched for.
🍕 PIZZA PARTY ON THE LINE
Here's the fun part:
The fanbase with the strongest showing on June 12 wins a FREE PIZZA PARTY hosted by BikeLA. 🏆🍕
That's right. Pizza. For your whole crew. On us.
Here's how it works:
- When you RSVP, tell us who you ride for (AOLA, 3252, Black Army, ACB, Riot Squad, PVA-LA, Galaxy Outlawz, Galaxians, D9U, Cielito Lindo, etc.)
- Show up on June 12 in your colors — kits, flags, tifo, the works
- We do a headcount at the Compton/Slauson staging area
- The supporters group with the most riders repping wins the pizza party!
So consider this an official challenge. AOLA, are you really gonna let Black Army outride you to the USMNT opener? 3252, are you gonna let the Galaxy SGs take this one? PVA-LA, this is your chance to show up even when it's not El Tri.
🎤 AT THE STAGING AREA
- Live DJ + supporters chants
- Banner & tifo painting station (bring yours or make one)
- Ride captain briefing & route walkthrough
- Speakers from BikeLA, LA Walks, and supporters group leaders
- Headcount for the PIZZA PARTY contest 🍕
- Photos, press moments, and the energy you came for
🎉 AT THE FINISH IN INGLEWOOD
- Bike valet
- Group photo!
- Final hype before kickoff
- Pedestrian + transit handoff to your seats
