La Cumbia Dance Party at La Peña • Every 2nd Thurs • Berkeley, CA
Doors 7:30 PM / Dance Class 8 PM / Baile 9 PM - 12 AM
DJ Rabeat will bring the sounds of México, Perú, Colombia, and beyond to keep the dance floor moving until midnight. The night begins with a beginner -friendly cumbia class led by Donaji - no partner or experiance needed.
At La Peña, dance is liberation. La Cumbia continues our 50-year tradition of celebrating music, movement, and the power of gathering together. We welcome all ages, affirm our LGBTQIA+ community, and invite everyone to dance freely and feel at home.

This Month at La Cumbia
- 8 PM Gender-Inclusive Cumbia Class led by Donaji and Chavita Peñaloza (no experience or partner needed)
- 9 PM - 12 AM Dance to the best cumbias from México, Perú, Colombia y más with DJ Rabeat
- Delicious bites, beer, wine and Sangría from Los Cilantros Mexican restaurant
- All-ages, all-night dance party with the some of the most joyful and respectful music-lovers in the Bay!

- $10 - General Admission Pre-sale: Available online until midnight before the event
- $15 - Day of pricing/Door price: Online sales end when doors open. After that, tickets will only be available at the door
