Event Overview
- LA County's Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) and Genesis LA (GLA) are hosting a General Information Session on the Second Cycle of the Commercial Acquisition Fund (CAF).
- Small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and mission-aligned developers that are interested in acquiring and revitalizing commercial property in LA County should attend the event.
- There will be a fund overview presentation, Q&A session, and networking opportunities to meet other applicants and explore potential partnerships.
About the CAF Program
- LA County CAF is a public-private partnership between the LA County DEO and Genesis LA, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI).
- CAF provides forgivable loans to eligible applicants to purchase vacant, abandoned, under-leased, or under-utilized properties with the goal of restoring them into community-serving commercial uses that help revitalize commercial corridors, reduce small business displacement, and promote equitable economic development throughout Los Angeles County.

Parking is located at: 523 Shatto Place, Los Angeles, CA 90020:
- Please pull a ticket when entering the parking structure. Then, take the elevator to the 9th floor and walk through the bridge, which is located towards the northwest corner of the parking structure, to reach the Terrace (T) Level lobby. The event is on the Terrace (T) Level.
- Prior to leaving the facility, please take your ticket to either security desk (Ground Level or Terrace Level) for validation.
- Do not park at the 510 South Vermont Avenue structure. Violators may be towed at vehicle owner’s expense.
Arriving by Public Transportation:
- Building entrance is located on the South Vermont Avenue Street level. Upon arrival, present your photo ID to the Security Desk. You will not be permitted to enter the building if you do not have a photo ID. Take the elevator to the 9th floor, TERRACE LEVEL (T).
