Tumara, a 3rd generation Mexican-American & German Chef from Los Angeles, co-owns Joselito’s Tujunga location with her business partner, Jose “Lito” Grijalva. This past summer, Tumara showcased her culinary skills in a live rapid-fire cooking competition at the Western Food Expo, where she triumphed, claiming 1st place against all male competitors.
Joselito’s is situated in the foothills beneath the Angeles National Forest, a mere 20-minute drive from DTLA. The restaurant is renowned for its array of comforting traditional dishes, seamlessly infused with a Californian twist in many of their updated recipes and is home to famous Margaritas such as the watermelon shell Margarita & the Almond Joy.
