La Cerca is an indie rock band from Tucson, Arizona, led by longtime frontman Andrew Gardner, known for crafting a distinctive “desert-infused” sound that blends psychedelic rock, shoegaze, ambient textures, and melodic guitar pop into expansive, emotionally driven songs. Their music often centers on layered, effects-heavy guitars and atmospheric production, drawing clear stylistic parallels to more widely known acts like Sonic Youth (in their noisy, exploratory guitar work), My Bloody Valentine and Ride (for their shoegaze textures), and even The Cure (in mood and melody), while occasionally channeling the lush pop ambition of The Beach Boys or the experimental sprawl of Jimi Hendrix.
