🎤 The mic is back on and the room is ready to listen!
Join us on May 9th for an evening of voices that move us and stories that linger long after the lights dim. Our open mic continues to be a space for honest expression, creative exchange, and the kind of moments that remind us why community matters.
This month, we’re honored to feature Gordon Torrington, creatively known as Posh, a Brooklyn-born spoken word poet, educator, and multidisciplinary creative. He has performed across the East Coast, with notable appearances at Kings Theatre, the Brooklyn Museum, and Howard University, next to some of poetry’s biggest names all within his first year of poetry.
His excerpts, as he would term explores themes of love, masculinity, culture, and the evolving language of identity — using poetry as both mirror and movement.
As the Founder and Creative Director of Voidd Studios and Omo Posh, he curates experiences that merge art, cultural dialogue, and community. He is always looking for innovative ways not only to propel the community but also uplift the youth.
The night will be hosted by Uzo (@uzothepoet), bringing warmth and intention to every moment.
