About:

Kyle Brooks is a saxophonist and composer whose artistic sentiment blurs the lines between hip-hop, soul, jazz, and electronic music. A product of the bustling music scene of Chicago, Brooks has spent most of his adult life working around the different corners in the midwest, having lived in Illinois, Ohio, and Indiana respectively, while also performing at venues across the US and Mexico. Brooks has been fortunate enough to collaborate with musical artists and organizations such as: Shayna Steele, Diane Schuur, Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra, Toledo Jazz Orchestra, and more. He can be heard on several different new and upcoming recordings that span from EDM to free jazz. Currently in pursuit of a doctorate in music at the prestigious Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, Brooks combines his diverse array of experiences in music-making with his theoretical knowledge to create melodically and harmonically sophisticated original music that can be enjoyed by audiences of all backgrounds.
