About this Event
Kwento Across Waters is a literary open mic and performance showcase that uplifts writers, poets, and storytellers from the AANHPI (Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander) diaspora. This event highlights narratives that honor the richness and diversity of these cultures while creating space for authentic, lived experiences.
This monthβs theme is RECLAIM β inviting participants to reflect on how theyβve reclaimed something once considered stigmatized or discouraged within their culture.
Kwento Across Waters is curated and hosted by a local Filipina American writer, and is proudly presented in collaboration with Malaya Botanicals.
If you are interested in performing, please fill out the sign up sheet by Thursday, May 28.
