About this Event
In 2022, the ABOLITION COMMEMORATION DAY COMMITTEE was formed to educate, celebrate, and observe ABOLITION COMMEMORATION DAY. Abolition Commemoration Day celebrates the abolishment of slavery in New York State, and it occurs on the Second Monday in July. This fundraiser is to help raise funds for 2025's Abolition Commemoration Day events.
In celebration of Kwanzaa's Ujima (Collective Work & Responsibility) and Ujamaa (Collective Economics) Principles, we will have vendors selling their products, as well as presentations on non-certification CPR training, Laughter Yoga, Mental Health, and African-American Genealogy.
