About this Event
The Kut Different Summer Leadership Academy offers experiences that open participants’ minds and helps build future leaders.
We believe that exposure is one of the main missing components that motivate youth to succeed academically, professionally, and personally.
During an 8-week program, we open the minds of young men in our community by affording them the opportunity to experience the world around them in a whole new way! We help guide them to learn how to use their talents for good, convert their passions into careers in the future, and assert authority over their own lives.
We use 3 focus areas to create a curriculum that helps sutdents gain new knowledge, skills, abilities, build confidence, and discover who they are.
Focus Areas:
- Education/Skill-Building
- Health & Wellness
- Exposure
Grades 4–8 | All Young Men Welcome - To be considered for selection, applicants must complete all of the following (after applying, you will receive a follow-up email outlining the below steps and to schedule interview):

2. 20 Hours of Community Service Applicants must complete 20 verified hours of community service, including:

3. Video Submission Applicants must submit a short video answering:

4. In-Person Interview Applicants must participate in an interview with Kut Different leadership to assess:
- Character and attitude
- Coachability and effort
- Alignment with program expectations
This ensures the young man is ready for the standard of the academy.
Final Note (Important) Selection is competitive and intentional.

- Preparation
- Alignment with the mission of Kut Different
- Interests and passions
- Who they want to become
This helps us understand how a young man sees his future and his willingness to think intentionally.
