About this Event
The Kut Different Summer Leadership Academy offers experiences that open participants’ minds and helps build future leaders.
We believe that exposure is one of the main missing components that motivate youth to succeed academically, professionally, and personally.
During an 8-week program, June 1st - July 24, we open the minds of young men in our community by affording them the opportunity to experience the world around them in a whole new way! We help guide them to learn how to use their talents for good, convert their passions into careers in the future, and assert authority over their own lives. As a note, the Summer Academy is a selection-based program with limited availability.
We use 3 focus areas to create a curriculum that helps sutdents gain new knowledge, skills, abilities, build confidence, and discover who they are.
Focus Areas:
- Education/Skill-Building
- Health & Wellness
- Exposure

2. 10 Hours of Community Service Applicants must complete 10 verified hours of community service (by April 11), including:
- A service log

- Brief reflections on what was learned
This demonstrates commitment, responsibility, and a heart for service.

- Why they want to be part of the Summer Leadership Academy
- What value they will bring to the program
This allows us to assess communication, preparation, confidence, and mindset.

This ensures the young man is ready for the standard of the academy.
