Kura Taumata Rau
Te Kawau Associates is pleased to welcome you to Kura Taumata Rau to assist in your cultural uplift, build your knowledge of te reo Māori, local histories, and strengthen your understanding of Ngāti Whātua ki Tāmaki and local customs.
This wānanga / event is for Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland staff.
You will be placed into groups and undertake a series of workshops over the Kura 2-day duration with our Ngāti Whātua experts.
Our team consists of Robbie Pāora , Tūraukawa Bartlett, Huia and Joe Pihema and Tayla Faddy, who will guide you through Ngāti Whātua protocols, history, language and waiata.
We look forward to seeing you at Kura Taumata Rau on Wed 15 & 16 of April. The wānanga will start with a whakatau at 9am at Waipapa Marae and end at 3pm on both days. Lunch will also be provided.
