KURA KAIAKO WORKSHOP
Kaiako mā, step into a classroom that spans over a thousand years, encompassing the CBD of Tāmaki Auckland, and spanning across both the Waitematā and Manukau harbours. We’ll help you unlock your own teaching potential to become more culturally confident and tuned into the local histories and traditions on your school’s backdoor.
Kura Kaiako ki Tāmaki are customized wānanga for kaiako teachers based in Tāmaki (central isthmus). Each wānanga will include site visits, tribal narratives, hapū waiata, and the events and people that make Tāmaki a unique and special place.
Our team of tribal historians and cultural experts will take you on a journey so you can share these cultural gems with your students
