Kumail Nanjiani is an Oscar and Emmy-nominated writer, actor, and comedian. He recently earned an Emmy nomination for his portrayal of Chippendales founder in Hulu’s “Welcome to Chippendale’s”, where he also served as an executive producer. Nanjiani stars in “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” alongside Paul Rudd and Carrie Coon, and voices a character in Universal Pictures’ animated adventure “Migration”, now available on VOD. He regularly performs stand-up in LA’s top comedy venues and will participate in this year’s Netflix Is a Joke Festival.
Upcoming, Nanjiani will star in James L. Brooks’ “Ella McCay” with Emma Mackey, Woody Harrelson, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Albert Brooks, and he’ll have a recurring role in the fourth season of Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building”. Notable past projects include “The Big Sick “(Oscar nominated for Best Original Screenplay), Disney+’s “Obi-Wan Kenobi”, Marvel’s “The Eternals”, and HBO’s “Silicon Valley.” His extensive TV and film credits include “Bless the Harts”, “The Twilight Zone”, “Stuber”, “Men in Black: International”, “The Lovebirds”, and “The Lego Ninjago Movie”.
