Elektorni, based in Oulu, lands with their second record by singular Finnish legend Mesak, backed with a remix from Picture. It’s a bass heavy record laced with intricate detail and a release as ready for the club as it is for your home hi-fi system. Mesak, also known as half of legendary electro-duo Mr Velcro Fastener, probably doesn’t need much introduction to most aficionados of electronic music or especially real electro music fans. He has been releasing music since the nineties on labels such as Klakson, Harmönia, Orson and Nsyde as well as his own appropriately named Huge Bass.

Apart from releasing his own and his peers music on the forward-pushing outlet LEK, collecting everything from worn out dubplates to freshly pressed wax, juggling unreleased WAVS and MP3 like it AIFF no thang, Patås ensures a fine blend of unorthodox classics and newborn stars in his sets, making sure you can discover something new amongst the old, and hear the holy grails echo back into the contemporary, blending genres like they never were separated in the first place.

Oivo’s specific but wide-ranging DJ sets connect dots between various manifestations of techno, house, electro, dub and beyond. His guest mixes have been broadcast on radio stations such as Noods and Rinse France. In his northern hometown of Oulu, Oivo runs the Elektorni, Elektyrmä and Cool Down club nights, the first two of which both also function as vinyl record labels. Outside of his hometown he has played at festivals like Solstice and Hot!Hot!Hot! as well as hotspot cities like Bristol, Bergen, Tbilisi and Berlin.

Erkko is a Helsinki-based DJ and vinyl collector into electro since the late 90s. Around the turn of the millennium, he found himself a key part of the vibrant electro scene in Finland as a DJ and promoter. A connoisseur of this golden era of new school electro, Erkko is currently also curating a compilation of rare, unreleased and forgotten tracks from Finnish producers, out on Cold Blow Records in late 2024.
