About this Event
Come Snowshoeing With Us!
Meet us at the Heather Meadows Parking Lot at 8:30 a.m. for a snowshoe adventure!
Artist Point is a winter wonderland and an excellent destination for snowshoeing. Join us for this 4-mile roundtrip snowshoe to what can only be described as heaven here on earth.
After a short, yet very steep ascent, we will take in breath-taking views of Mount Baker, Mount Shuksan and distant peaks that include Three Fingers, Whitehorse Mountain, Sloan Peak and White Chuck Mountain from the top.
After a brief snack and rest at the top, and if everyone is feeling strong, we'll take a short 1.5 mile side trip to the top of Huntoon Point for more scenery.
While Artist Point is an excellent destination for snowshoers, it does have some very steep sections that can be challenging depending on the snow conditions as well as fitness levels. Expect to sweat. The route can be dangerous depending on snow levels and the avalanche conditions.
Although we are snowshoeing together, this is a self guided trip - meaning that you are expected to be responsible for yourself.
