Sunset & Full Moon Snow Shoe at Artist Point!

Meet us at the Heather Meadows Parking Lot at 2:00 p.m. for a magical sunset snowshoe and Full Moonlight adventure!

Artist Point is an excellent destination for snowshoeing. There is something magical about taking in sunset from the top, and returning by headlamp AND the light of the full moon that will be rising on our way back to the parking lot. Join us for this 4-mile roundtrip snowshoe and enjoy in a little bit of heaven here on earth.

After a short, yet very steep ascent, we will take in breath-taking sunsets views of Mount Baker, Mount Shuksan and distant peaks that include Three Fingers, Whitehorse Mountain, Sloan Peak and White Chuck Mountain. Bring something warm to eat at the top while we enjoy a magnificent sunset.

While Artist Point is an excellent destination for snowshoers, it does have some very steep sections that can be challenging depending on the snow conditions as well as fitness levels. Expect to sweat. The route can be dangerous depending on snow levels and the avalanche conditions, so we will only go if the weather is ideal.

This trip is weather and snow dependent. If there is not enough snow, we may alter our plans to have a moonlight hike. Although we are adventuring together, this is a self guided trip - meaning that you are expected to be responsible for yourself.
