This is a one day holiday club for children who love being outside, age 5-7, in Key Stage One. The club will run from 10-3pm with drop off and pick up at Wildwood Days. The children will make use of our wonderful Forest School site for the duration of the club. The club will be run by Level 3 Forest School Leaders who love helping children have fun outdoors in nature! The club will give children the chance to explore the natural world and foster resilience, confidence, independence and creativity.
Children will be able to enjoy all the usual Forest school fun like going on the rope swing, using the mud kitchen, water wall, den building, bug hunting, tree house, environmental art, and physical challenges. There will also be some conservation challenges and themed activities including crafts and simple tool work.
As we will be outside all day, children should come dressed for the outdoors in clothes and footwear to suit the weather. To fully enjoy the day, children should bring waterproofs in case of wet weather! Site can be wet and muddy in some areas so wellies are probably best!
We do have some shelter and tarps to put up to offer some cover in the event of rain.
Children will bring their own lunch but drinks and fruit/biscuits will be provided for snacks.
We have a composting toilet and hand wash facilities on site. We kindly ask that only children who are able to confidently use the toilet by themselves attend this holiday club.
You will receive an email with further information and emergency contact/medical form to complete. The form must be completed and returned prior to the holiday club starting so that your child can attend.
