The public is invited to meet the editor and author of the award-winning book, Living Beyond Borders: Growing Up Mexican In America, by Margarita Longoria. Several collaborators to the anthology will also be on hand for the book discussion on Saturday, August 31st, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Kreative Grounds Cafe in McAllen.This will be a chill meet and greet and discussion of the themes, poems, stories, and essays found in this unique and important collection.
Folks may wish to check out the book, listen to the audio versions (via access from libraries), or purchase the book. All are welcome.
Kreative Grounds Coffee & Art (609 N. 10th St., McAllen) offers coffee and tea as well as sandwiches, pastries, and related items. Parking is available at the front and back of the building, as well as on side streets.
