Celebrate a decade of holiday tradition with Krampus NOLAuf, New Orleans’ original Krampus parade and the largest of its kind in the United States.On Saturday, December 5, the Bywater neighborhood fills with a moving procession of Krampus, winter folklore characters, and signature groups including the Sisters of SHHH. Marking its 10th parade since its founding in 2015, this milestone event highlights the creativity and craftsmanship that define Krewe of Krampus and its unique place in New Orleans culture.
Krampus NOLAuf is a fully walking parade, allowing visitors to experience the artistry up close. Expect detailed, handcrafted costumes, expressive characters, and a theatrical atmosphere that blends European holiday tradition with the spirit of New Orleans.
Krewe of Krampus is recognized for its commitment to sustainability. No plastic beads are thrown. Instead, parade-goers may receive unique, hand-made, environmentally conscious throws that reflect a more thoughtful approach to celebration.
This event is also the only parade in New Orleans designed with accessibility as a core focus. Now in its fifth year, Accessibility Row provides a designated viewing area for people with disabilities, supported by trained volunteers and inclusive practices that help make the experience welcoming for all.
