entertaining guests with their unique brand of velvet-clad
indie they call “Living Room Rock”. The Toronto-based quartet
of Eric Montpool (lead vocals/guitar), Christian Strong (bass),
Matt Scharfe (guitar) & Brendan Vandepol (drums) have built
a reputation on their dynamic & immersive live shows rife with
theatrics & audience interaction. Initially emerging from the
Ottawa indie scene, the band relocated to Toronto after a
string of festival dates & the release of their debut album
“Poolside Fantasy”. Often compared to Arctic Monkeys, Noise
Hotel’s infectious riffs & signature nostalgic style has made
them an up-&-coming act to look out for.
Orpin is the musical project of Canadian singer-songwriter Taryn Jacobs. The project is an indie, folk inspired exploration of nature, longing, storytelling and love. Orpin released her debut EP in 2020, titled “Loneliness is a Powerful Thing”, and in 2023, released the EP “Fate & Other Feelings”. Listen for visuals, metaphors, loon calls and vocal melodies weaving through a dreamy indie-folk soundscape like a ribbon.
After touring, playing festival stages and recording more and more music with various bands, Kraig is now taking matters into his own hands. After his track record of genre-bending singles over the years, Kraig has now honed his sound in the quest to get you moving. After the anticipated release of his debut LP, Kraig Durco is bringing his band on the road for their first American tour; kicking it off in Toronto, here at The Linsmore Tavern! It’s been a long time coming but surely worth the wait.
