King of the Range (KoTR) is back for Match 2.Details:
•Magnum and Non Magnum Classes
•Max Calibre of 8mm
•Targets between 930m-1770m
•Fri will be sign on, zero and data collection for those who can’t get data prior to Match.
•This is a Shooter Spotter event but if you don’t have a second person to spot we will team you up with another competitor who is also needing a spotter.
COF Details:
Shooters will be engaging targets between 930m-1770m.
Day 1 Shooters will get 9min to engage targets between 930m-1430m with 4 shots each hit to move. This means you have 4 shots to score, if you fail to hit the target in 4 shots you must keep engaging till an impact is made. Any impacts made outside the 4 scoring shots will not be awarded any points you are purely shooting to move onto the next target for another 4 scoring shots. After all the Day 1 targets are completed by competitors scores will be added up and the Top % of shooters will progress to Day 2 targets where the targets are longer and you will be firing 5 rounds to score instead of 4.
Scoring:
1st round hit range x 5
2nd round hit range x 4
3rd round hit range x 3
4th round hit range x 2
5th round hit range x 1
Eg: 1550m x 5 =7,750 points
Range x 1st round hit (x 5)
Location & Accomodation:
Range location is The Nioka Range. If you type that into your gps it will come up. Basic toilets onsite as well as hot showers. There is plenty of room to camp on location. There is also motel accomodation at Gunnedah (25min away) where most stay or Tamworth (1hr away).
Cost:
$350 per shooter
You can bring a spotter that isn’t shooting.
Registration will be a Non refundable deposit of $100 in which goes directly to the Range. The outstanding amount will be paid in cash on the day of sign on.
This event is for all skill levels and Rifle sharing is allowed. There will be Targets setup on Fri for you to get as much data as you need out to 1770m. Range will be open from between 0800-1730hrs on Fri.
