About this Event
KosherSoul: A Summerhill Dinner
The Summerhill neighborhood of Atlanta was established in 1865, just after the Civil War, and was settled largely by the formerly enslaved and Jewish immigrants. Join Michael Twitty, Todd Ginsberg, and Duane Nutter for a unique culinary experience at Wood's Chapel BBQ in Summerhill, as they bring together the flavors of African American and Jewish heritage and celebrate cultural diversity through food, conversation, and community.
*This dinner is vegetarian friendly and "kosher-style," meaning that since there will be meat dishes (but no pork or shellfish), there will be no dairy in any of the dishes. Reserve your spot now! Feed your soul.
A Cappella Books, intown Atlanta's independent bookstore since 1989, will sell copies of Michael Twitty's book KOSHERSOUL at the event.
