Sarftie Santos - @sarftiesantos
Bio
Sarftie is a 25 year old Afro-pop, RnB and Hip-Hop/Wave recording artist from South east
London. Prior to his first release he spent 4 years studying the scene and what it takes to become established as an artist in today's current climate. "In this time finding myself and my artistic persona has centered around what it means to be 'Sarftie. Ultimately my music and my story is how l've dealt with growing up, healing, adjusting and dealing with strong emotions and losses. Through all of this I'm not alone and I think music is a way how we can still find and create the spaces to enjoy ourselves both alone, the way we often are and amongst other similar minded people."
His Angolan and Portuguese speaking background has surely enriched his music experience deeper as it enabled him to grow up with an array of African music influences as well as Spanish and Latino influences. "These have mapped out the world of sound for me in ways I'm grateful for and I am working to bridge that gap and show the world how Londoners do it best! How we are all only as wealthy as the experiences that set us apart from one another and bring us together too!"
