CHANGE, antik Anadolu’nun parasal tarihini, MÖ 7. yüzyılda sikkelerin ortaya çıkışından bölgenin yaklaşık MÖ 30’da Roma hâkimiyetine girmesine kadar geçen süreçte inceleyen disiplinlerarası bir projedir. Proje, antik Anadolu’nun parasal ekonomisinin gelişimine ilişkin kanıtları ilk kez bir araya getirmekte ve yeni dijital teknolojiler kullanarak bu verileri uzun vadeli ekonomik tarihe dair temel soruları yanıtlamak üzere düzenlemektedir. Bu çalışma; sikkelerin kökenleri, kentlerin, hanedanların ve imparatorlukların ekonomileri ve temsilî para sistemlerinin ortaya çıkışı gibi geniş temaları kapsayan yeni bir Küçük Asya para tarihi ortaya koyacaktır. Antik Anadolu’da Parasal Değişim (MÖ 630–30), CHANGE projesinin kapanış konferansı niteliğindedir. İki gün sürecek bu etkinlik, Pera Müzesi, Oxford Üniversitesi ve Avrupa Birliği’nin Horizon 2020 Araştırma ve Yenilik Programı kapsamında ERC tarafından desteklenen CHANGE projesi (no. 865680) iş birliğiyle düzenlenmektedir. Konferans boyunca, uluslararası bir uzmanlar topluluğu araştırmalarını paylaşacaktır.

CHANGE is an interdisciplinary project to research the monetary history of ancient Anatolia from the beginning of coinage in the 7th century to the absorption of the region by Rome circa 30 BC. The project is gathering, for the first time, evidence for the development of the monetary economy of ancient Anatolia. Using new digital technology, it is organising this evidence to answer major questions concerning the economic history of this region over the longue durée. A new monetary history of Asia Minor will result, encompassing such broad themes as the origins of coinage, the economies of cities, dynasts and empires and the emergence of fiduciarity.
Monetary Change in Ancient Anatolia, 630–30 BC, serves as the concluding conference of the CHANGE project. This two-day event is organised in collaboration with Pera Museum, the University of Oxford, and the ERC-funded CHANGE project (grant no. 865680 in the European Union's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme). Throughout the conference, an international cohort of specialists will present their research papers.
The conference, which will take place at Pera Museum Auditorium, is free of charge and will be held in English. No reservations are required.
