W głosie Nany Rashid spotykają się nordycka melancholia i północny minimalizm oraz neo-soul i blues, ale ta duńską wokalistką o korzeniach zanzibarsko-omańskich nie traktuje śpiewu wyłącznie jako nośnika dźwięków – równie ważna jest treść. Rashid skupia się na tematach tożsamości, przynależności, współczesnych dylematów związanych z codziennym życiem kobiety oraz doświadczeń osób o mieszanym pochodzeniu etnicznym. Jaka sama twierdzi: „Moje utwory powstają w dialogu z publicznością i atmosferą panującą na sali. W jazzie chodzi przede wszystkim o więź – jest żywa i tworzymy ją razem”. Trójmiejski zespół Proszę Zamknąć powstał z inicjatywy wokalistki i kontrabasistki Rozalii Grabowskiej oraz perkusisty Szymona Pluty. Z czasem dołączył pianista Ryszard Jezierski oraz dobrze znana naszej publiczności wokalistka Ida Zielińska (kilka miesięcy temu odbyła się w Żaku premiera debiutu jej własnego zespołu, Jakoś Idzie, a w październiku zeszłego roku zagrała na Festiwalu Jazz Jantar z zespołem Zygmunt Pauker Trio). W 2025 roku ukazał się debiutancki album Proszę Zamknąć, na którym spotkały się jazz, alternatywny pop, folk, a nawet odrobina drum'n'bassu. Podobnie jak u Rashid, także tutaj niezwykle ważne są teksty – dotyczące nieszczęśliwej miłości, lęku czy społecznych uprzedzeń.

Nana Rashid’s voice blends Nordic melancholy and northern minimalism with neo-soul and blues, but this Danish singer with Zanzibari-Omani roots does not treat singing merely as a vehicle for sound - belonging, contemporary dilemmas related to women’s daily lives, and the experiences of people of mixed ethnic backgrounds. As she herself says: “My pieces are created in dialogue with the audience and the atmosphere in the room. Jazz is all about connection—it’s alive, and we create it together.” During her first visit to Gdańsk, the audience will also have the opportunity to become part of this community.

The Tri-City band Proszę Zamknąć was formed on the initiative of vocalist and double bassist Rozalia Grabowska and drummer Szymon Pluta. Over time, pianist Ryszard Jezierski and singer Ida Zielińska, well known to our audience, joined the group (a few months ago, the premiere of her own band’s debut album, Jakoś Idzie, took place at Żak, and last October she performed at the Jazz Jantar Festival with the Zygmunt Pauker Trio). In 2025, her debut album *Proszę Zamknąć* was released, blending jazz, alternative pop, folk, and even a touch of drum 'n' bass. As with Rashid, the lyrics are of paramount importance here—addressing unrequited love, fear, and social prejudices.
