Kokedama 苔玉 Moss-Wrapped Plant Workshop 🌱
Join Gild & Gather (@gild.gather) for a beginner-friendly Kokedama Moss-Wrapped Plant Workshop at The Botanist Coffee Co (@thebotanistcoffeeco) in Hove!
Drawing from the Japanese art of Kokedama (苔玉), we will work with specialist soil combinations and soft, fluffy moss to create a unique potless plant structure, with support from your host: multi media artist, plant lover and owner of Gild & Gather, Bea. Enjoy this tactile workshop alongside a £5 drink voucher on us- perfect for relaxing and celebrating your new skills. This is an in-person event, so come ready to switch off, expand your creativity and find a community of likeminded people seeking joy in all seasons.
This event provides all the necessary tools to create your own asparagus fern kokedama this workshop will be a little messy as we are working with nature's tools, so please dress accordingly! You may wish to avoid wearing rings to save them getting all muddy!
This will be part of a series of Kokedama workshops at The Botanist; start with an asparagus fern Kokedama and join us for upcoming workshops to add new plants to your kokedama collection! 🌱
£5 drink voucher to be redeemed against a barista-made cold, hot or alcoholic drink at the event. Drinks over £5 require payment of the additional cost. Further drinks are available to purchase on the night. Voucher is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another event.
All over 18 are welcome.
Photography will be used at this event, please let us know on the night if you would prefer not to be featured (or if hands/work are okay but not face!).
