Inspired by his grandfather's poetry, rapper Kofi Stone had been freestyling and writing since an early age. A musical diet of Lupe Fiasco, Common, Kano and Sway further fueled his fascination with hip-hop. In 2017, he released his debut single 'Stories In Pyjamas', soon followed by 'Nothin' Ain't Free', which quickly made his name in the rap scene. His debut project 'Nobody Cares Till Everybody Does' was released independently through his label Tru Community. Since then, Kofi has toured with Loyle Carner, performed at festivals around the world and collaborated with artists such as Jacob Banks, Mr Jukes & Barney Artist and Tiana Major9.
Stone is known as an engaging storyteller who proclaims an introspective, deep and honest style of hip-hop. You can hear that in his latest single 'Black Joy'. He harks back to the golden days of hip-hop and celebrates blackness in the midst of adversity.
