About this Event

KOAUAU MAKING WĀNANGA - KAHU TAURIMA

Join us for a creative wānanga where we’ll be crafting koauau – traditional Māori flutes made from native rakau. Hosted by Certified & Experience Māori Midwife TeRina and Taonga Pūoro expert Dougie Joseph.

Together, we’ll shape these taonga with intention, learn how to bring them to life through sound, and explore the kōrero and wairua behind this beautiful instrument.
