These "KNOW YOUR VALLEY" presentations are intended to help set you as a real estate professional apart from the competition with current, important facts and knowledge about the area you work in.
Arizona has a strong history of water management that has allowed us to experience economic growth while protecting our water resources. This presentation will cover an overview of water resources in Arizona and some of the limitations and challenges associated with each water supply type. We will also take a look at some of the solutions currently being developed and implemented to address our water challenges. Most of the information presented will be from the perspective of municipal water providers in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Join Amy Peterson, Environmental & Resources Manager, who oversees the water quality and water quantity compliance aspects of the city’s water utility. This includes reporting, permitting, and long-range planning. She has been in the water utility sector for nine years. One of her primary responsibilities is to maintain/manage the city’s water resource portfolio and its Designation of Assured Water Supply.
