Join OLLAA for food, culture, connection, human rights updates, and a Know Your Rights session. A night of learning, support, and community.
About this Event

Come spend an inspiring evening with OLLAA as we share who we are, what we do, and why our work matters. This gathering is designed to bring people together-neighbors, friends, and community members-for a night filled with connection, culture, and meaningful conversation.
Enjoy delicious Ethiopian dishes, music, and games while meeting new people and celebrating the richness of our community. Throughout the evening, we’ll also highlight the evolving human rights situation in Ethiopia as the country faces the threat of renewed conflict.
Because many in our community are navigating fear and uncertainty around ICE activity and interactions with law enforcement, we will host a “Know Your Rights” discussion to provide practical, empowering information everyone should have.
To help create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, we encourage guests to dress nicely-business casual or your favorite polished look.
This is a free event, and donations are encouraged as we work to support Oromo youth in Chicago.
Join us for food, culture, learning, and solidarity as we strengthen our community together.
