About the WorkshopJoin our fun and supportive Knit an Emotional Support Chicken group, where you’ll work through a quirky and charming knitting project over three guided sessions.
This group is perfect for knitters who have basic knitting skills and want a bit of extra help reading patterns, understanding shaping techniques, and finishing a soft toy with personality.
What’s included:
3 x 2-hour support sessions
Step-by-step guidance on reading and understanding the chicken pattern
Tips for shaping, sewing, and finishing your knitted chicken
A fun, social atmosphere with other knitters working on the same project
What you need to bring:
5mm knitting needles (straight or 40cm circular)
100g Yarn for main body of chicken
5g Yellow yarn for beak
5g Yarn for comb & wattle
Stuffing/Toy fill
Whether you're new to toy knitting or just want a group to keep you motivated, come along and knit
About the Tutor
Kym is a passionate and experienced teacher, with a love for all things textile quilting, crochet, knitting, and macramé. Kym brings a warm, inclusive energy to every class. She enjoys helping others build confidence in their creative skills and believes deeply in the power of craft to connect people. Kym specialises in free-motion quilting and is always ready to share her knowledge, tips, and encouragement with makers of all levels.

150ag of 8 ply yarn
10g of Red 8 ply yarn for the comb
10g of Yellow 8 ply yarn for the beak
4.5mm knitting needles
Water bottle
Facilities:
Our space is accessible for walkers, wheelchairs and gophers.
The toilet facilities are accessible.
We have a fridge, microwave & sandwich toaster.
Kettle, tea & coffee available
Dominos Pizza is nearby and the Service Station has food/snacks if needed.
