About this Event
This hands-on cooking class focuses on developing essential knife skills while preparing a fresh, French bistro–inspired menu. Participants will practice proper knife handling, safety, and precision cutting as they work with a variety of vegetables and fruits.
Students will prepare a Classic Mirepoix Vegetable Soup, learning the foundational cuts for onions, carrots, and celery. They’ll then create a Niçoise-Style Chopped Vegetable Salad, practicing consistent, uniform chopping for great texture and presentation. The class finishes with a Fresh Fruit Salad with Citrus & Mint (French Bistro Style), where participants refine their slicing and fruit preparation techniques.
By the end of the class, students will gain confidence with their knives while creating a light, fresh meal.
