🫖✨Kintsugi 🫖✨dates back to the 15th century and means “joining with gold” in Japanese. A broken object (ceramic) is glued together with lacquer and then the seams are covered with gold. Wabi Sabi, related to Kintsugi, is the philosophy of embracing our flaws and life’s fragility. The acceptance of imperfection.During the workshop, we will go through the various processes of Kintsugi – (*breaking) grinding, joining, gluing, gilding – through which we will also see our own vulnerability on the path to becoming whole. As this is an art therapy workshop, the act of breaking is included as an additional and intentional element within the process.
